Spotlight on Anjali Balwal
Finding self-love and voice
“Preparation was very good. I learned many new skills,” Anjali told Webfit News. “Most of all, I learned self-love. After becoming a mother and a wife, we often forget ourselves. Women play many roles every day. This journey reminded me who I am. When your own cup is full, only then can you fill others.”
She smiled while describing her shift from a shy school student to a confident speaker. “I never raised my hand in class. I did not want attention. Through this pageant, I found my voice. Now I can put my words out and people listen. That can make an impact.”
A family story of support
“This journey is dedicated to the girls in my family,” she said. “I come from a Rajput family that is quite strict. Stepping into a pageant was a big step. My husband encouraged me to go for it. My parents and in-laws supported me fully. Their faith made me grateful and strong.”
The toughest step
“The hardest part was deciding to participate. Once I decided, everything followed. I met wonderful women from around the world who have already achieved so much. It was inspiring.”
A song for the moment
Asked for a song that matches her mood, Anjali chose a classic love melody, a gentle nod to the calm confidence she carries, and sings Ho gaya hai Tujhko to pyar Sajna..
Why does she serve the community?
“My roots are in Jammu and Kashmir. The region has faced many difficulties, and many families had to move. Opportunities for women can be limited. I want to lift women and inspire them in any way I can. I have worked with Women’s Refuge, and I share my experiences. If I can do it, anyone can.”
Food and favorites
“Typical authentic Indian food is my comfort,” she laughed.
What is next
- Guest of honor at a pageant in Dubai, Mrs and Miss Cosmic 2026
- Attending Mrs India New Zealand in Hamilton
- A few activities are planned in Mumbai
“Family comes first, so I am taking it step by step,” she said. “I have a son and I want to choose what suits best for us.”
