Bihar Jharkhand Samaj Melbourne is bringing the colours, music and warmth of Diwali to St Kilda this spring. Families across Melbourne are invited to gather for BJSM Diwali 2025 at St Kilda Town Hall, St Kilda, Victoria on Sunday, 12 October 2025.
This year’s community program blends tradition with kid friendly fun:
- Diya decoration for children under 10
- Gharonda pooja, celebrating the folk Diwali customs of Bihar and Jharkhand
- Vidyapati play performed by children, honouring the beloved Maithili poet
- Stage performances by kids and adults
- Stalls with festive treats and crafts
Expect a lively evening of lights, music and togetherness, with plenty of chances for the little ones to take part and learn about the festival’s roots.
